Depending on the position as you see, they can’t whatever number that they like this is not college. Usually the number they choose is a number that they had in college or it is close to their number or a number that some Hall of Famer had or they liked etc.
When I transfer to a university, I wanna try-out for the football team. I plan to go to a university with a division 3 team. I have car insurance, a credit card, and food bills to pay. I just don’t think I’ll be able to fit my classes, studying, football practice, the gym and work all into schedule.

they get money under the table, from an agent or alumni, some of their work in class is done by another student, the exams are also taken by another student, this is one of their so-called secrets that they don’t want anyone to find out.

I thought rugby players would always have more injuries because they are running into each other. Football (socker) is a mostly non-contact sport.
The other answerer’s have made good points. While the contact isn’t as frequent in soccer, it does happen, and the situations they find themselves in can make them more vulnerable than rugby players.
When you are going all out for the ball with your leg is extended and you make contact with a defender who is also going all out for the ball there is a pretty good chance of someone suffering a serious joint injury or a broken bone. And so long as the defender does get a piece of the ball, its pretty likely to be a legal play.
And one might note that if one rugby player tried to take out another in a similar fashion, there is a pretty good chance he would get a red card followed by a six week suspension.
